Saturday, September 19, 2009 marks the date of the second-annual PierPong charity tournament, which will take place at Mead High School. As individual and team competitors conquer the bracket in pursuit of the totally rad winner's trophy, players and spectators will enjoy entertainment, finger food, raffle prizes and the visual delight of spandex, tube socks and headbands. All proceeds from the tournament benefit the Friends and Servants program at the YMCA - a program that serves troubled youth in the Spokane community by providing support, guidance, opportunity and encouragement. What more could you want in a charity tournament?
