Lost and Returned

The problem:  How many times have you had your child lose a winter coat, a sweater, team warm-ups, backpack, portable games, book-bag, soccer ball, etc?   Well, we re sure it has been enough times to start losing count.  Replacing items can become extremely expensive and frustrating for the parent and the child.

As we find items on the fields, gyms, schools and playgrounds what do we do with them?  How do we get a lost item back to its owner?  We look everywhere for a name or initials on a tiny label but to no avail there is nothing.  We then look to drop it off at a facility desk, school or sport office in the area, where the item sits in a large box with hundreds of other lost items.

The Answer:  LostAndReturned

So we invented LostAndReturned.com a service to connect the finder and owner in an anonymous and safe service.  Kids get their items returned and parents get peace of mind.

LostAndReturned provides a Recovery Service that consists of a 12-month membership and a set of 33 unique labels in a variety of sizes, which are all included in a New User Kit. 

LostAndReturned has two components to this unique Recovery Service.  The first component is the unique website.  To use the Recovery Service, Users will need to register their New User Kits online.  Additionally the website is the portal to getting your lost items returned by "good Samaritans".   The web-based system coordinates getting lost items back to their owners in an anonymous and secure manner. 

The second component of the service is the label system.  There are 33 labels in various sizes and they include a unique "Return Code".  The labels are self-adhering there is no need to iron or sew them into garments.  These labels are machine washable and can be dried in a dryer.  They are made of very durable vinyl and nearly permanent.  The printing is sealed and coated so it will not smudge or fade.  You can also write a name or initials on the labels. The labels can be placed on almost any material or surface.  Life expectancy on the labels is over 40 wash cycles before needing a replacement, longer on non-fabric items or equipment.
